Getting Started

Welcome to BetterLister! This documentation will guide you through the process of creating professional eBay listings using our platform.

Quick Start Guide
  1. Sign up for an account and choose the Basic plan ($49.99/month)
  2. Connect your eBay account through secure OAuth
  3. Upload your product photos
  4. Assign SKUs to group related photos
  5. Generate listings using AI
  6. Review and edit your listings
  7. Publish directly to eBay

Uploading Photos

Supported Formats
  • JPG/JPEG
  • PNG
  • WEBP
Best Practices
  • Use high-resolution images (minimum 500x500 pixels)
  • Ensure good lighting and clear focus
  • Capture multiple angles of your products
  • Include close-ups of important details
Bulk Upload

You can upload multiple photos at once by selecting them all in the file picker or dragging and dropping them into the upload area.

SKU Assignment

SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) help you organize photos that belong to the same product.

How to Assign SKUs
  1. After uploading photos, go to the SKU Assignment page
  2. Select photos that belong to the same product
  3. Enter a unique SKU for that group
  4. Repeat for all your products
Tip: Use a consistent SKU naming system like "CATEGORY-NUMBER" (e.g., "SHOES-001", "ELECTRONICS-042")

Generating Listings

Our AI analyzes your photos to create professional eBay listings automatically.

What's Generated
  • Title: SEO-optimized title with relevant keywords
  • Description: Detailed product description with features and benefits
  • Item Specifics: Brand, model, condition, and other attributes
  • Category: Appropriate eBay category selection
Token Usage

Each generated listing uses 1 listing token. Your membership includes 100 tokens per month. Additional tokens cost $0.50 each.

Publishing to eBay

Before Publishing
  • Review all listing details for accuracy
  • Set your pricing and shipping options
  • Verify item condition and specifics
  • Ensure compliance with eBay policies
Publishing Process
  1. Go to "Ready to Publish" page
  2. Select listings you want to publish
  3. Review and accept the publishing terms
  4. Click "Publish to eBay"
Important: You are responsible for ensuring all listing information is accurate and complies with eBay's policies.

Account Management

Subscription Management
  • View your current plan and billing date
  • Update payment methods
  • Cancel or modify subscription
  • View transaction history
Token Balance

Monitor your token usage in the navbar or on the subscription management page. Purchase additional tokens as needed.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues
Photos won't upload
  • Check file format (JPG, PNG, WEBP only)
  • Ensure file size is under 10MB
  • Try uploading fewer photos at once
Listing generation failed
  • Ensure you have available tokens
  • Check that photos are assigned to a SKU
  • Try regenerating the listing
Can't publish to eBay
  • Verify eBay account is connected
  • Check listing details for errors
  • Ensure compliance with eBay policies
